EzPRF Gel – The Filler Made From Your Blood

Did you know that we can obtain an incredible, natural filler from your own body?

If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know allll about the different kinds of fillers, namely: hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, which are composed of HA and add immediate volume, and biostimulatory fillers, like Sculptra and Radiesse, which work within your body to build collagen over time. However, you may not have heard of EzPRF Gel, a substance derived from your own body that can be used as a filler in the upper face area!

I’ve got all the deets for you on this all-natural elixir – read on to find out more!

What is EzPRF Gel?

EzPRF Gel is a special version of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) obtained from your own blood to use in place of tear-trough filler and cheek filler.

You may be familiar with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), which has long been used in microneedling services to enhance rejuvenation as it infuses into the skin. Think of PRF as “PRP 2.0,”…meaning it’s an even more adept and healing-oriented version of PRP!

PRF is composed of a multitude of your body’s potent growth and healing factors, including important white blood cells, which oversee the cellular repair process (a.k.a collagen + elastin formation!). The secret behind extracting more potent growth factors is found in how we process the blood.

We’ll still draw your blood and place it into a centrifuge, similar to what you would expect during a PRP treatment. The difference is: when creating PRF, we spin the blood more slowly in the centrifuge. There is also no anticoagulant, or blood-thinning agent, added, making PRF the perfect consistency for injecting.

After your blood has been processed, it will separate into three layers:

  • The topmost layer contains plasma without platelets.
  • The bottommost layer contains red blood cells.
  • The middle layer is where the PRF settles.

PRF releases many biologically active proteins that promote healing and rejuvenation, including:

  • Several growth factors
  • Healing matrix proteins
  • Bone morphogenic protein
  • Cytokines
  • Plus, other regenerative materials

Similarly to biostimulatory fillers (like Sculptra and Radiesse), PRF causes an initial increase in volume in the first few days post-treatment. Then, the PRF growth factors begin working to create new collagen and elastin structures.

EzPRF Gel Treatment Breakdown:

After assessing if EzPRF Gel is right for you, we’ll draw a small amount of your blood and place it in a centrifuge, which separates the PRF from the rest of your blood.

After the PRF is separated, we’ll inject it into your tear-trough and/or cheek area, using a small needle to create the initial injection point, and a cannula (blunt-tipped needle) to place the product.

You may experience minor swelling and/or bruising in the treated area for up to a few days post-treatment. As these effects wear off, the PRF growth factors start doing their job: platelets are activated, which release several regenerative proteins that have a variety of therapeutic properties, including constructing new scaffolds for collagen and elastin production!

Who is EzPRF Gel treatment suitable for?

EzPRF Gel is the perfect filler alternative for the patient who wants glowing, rejuvenated results but may not feel comfortable using a synthetic product.

Patients concerned about their undereye area and/or volume loss in their upper cheeks may be candidates for EzPRF Gel. The undereye area, in particular, has some of the thinnest and most delicate skin on the body. Plus, it’s common for people to skip SPF in this area, which leads to increased fine lines and wrinkles.

As we age, our faces change drastically around our eye area. Not only does our body’s collagen and elastin supply decrease, leading to more fine lines and less-plump skin around the area, but also:

  • Fat pads reduce in thickness, leading to hollows under the eyes.
  • Loss of muscle tone + repeated muscle use leads to lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.
  • Bone mass decreases, leading to shifts in facial contours, resulting in a larger eye area.

All of these factors lead to volume loss and an increase in fine lines in the undereye area – and the perfect remedy for this is collagen + elastin, which EzPRF Gel facilitates the production of!

This means that EzPRF Gel may be appropriate for anyone concerned about signs of aging around the undereye area. Injecting a boost of PRF’s all-natural, rejuvenating formula into this area can work wonders and make an incredible difference in the overall look of the face.
